Ahmedabad: Debt-ridden Businessman loses Rs 11 lakh to tantrik

AHMEDABAD: A debt-ridden used-car dealer from Paldi was conned out of Rs 11 lakh by a witchdoctor who had promised to double his money. Chetan Chauhan, 38, a resident of Shakti Society in Paldi, filed a complaint with Sarkhej police against Anwar Theba.

Chauhan, who had a debt of Rs 20 lakh, told his friend Altaf Pathan about his financial issues. Pathan told him that he knew a witchdoctor who could double his money and rid him of the debt. Convinced, Chauhan went to Theba’s house in Juhapura and narrated his problems.
