Ahead of the Assembly session, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin held review meetings with various departments on Monday.
The Assembly session would be held from April 6 for the debate on the demand for grants for various government departments. The Chief Minister held review meetings with the departments of Water Resources, Municipal Administration and Water Supply, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj and Co-operation, Food and Consumer Protection.
According to an official release, Mr. Stalin reviewed the announcements made during the demand for grants last financial year, including those made under Rule 110. He also discussed the announcements to be made during the upcoming session.
Water Resources Minister Durai Murugan, Municipal Administration Minister K.N. Nehru, Minister For Cooperation I. Periyasamy, Minister for Rural Development K.R. Periyakaruppan, Food Minister R. Chakrapani, Finance Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, Chief Secretary Irai Anbu, the respective department secretaries and senior officials were present at the meeting.
