Agra: 22-year-old college student gang-raped by 3 while returning home in an auto

AGRA: A 22-year-old student of a PG college in Agra was allegedly gang-raped by three persons while she was returning home in Firozabad’s Tundla on Sunday evening. Two accused named in the FIR were arrested on Monday.

The accused had allegedly thrashed the victim and recorded her video while she was being raped, the FIR reads. The victim told the police that the incident took place between 2 to 4 pm when she was going home from Agra. She said that "there were other passengers in the auto as well". Later, the passengers got down at Kuberpur bridge.

SP (West) Satyajeet Gupta told TOI that two accused Bhura Yadav and Yashpal have been arrested and the unidentified man will also be nabbed soon. He said that both the accused were drunk when they were nabbed. Further investigations are on. The woman was sent for medical examination, he added.

An FIR has been registered under IPC sections 376-D (gang-rape), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 394 (voluntarily causing hurt in committing robbery) against three persons, including the auto driver. The incident came to light at 11pm after the victim reported about it at Etmadpur police station.
