An aggressive seagull is terrorising residents of an area of north London by divebombing people of all ages and their pets.
The bird’s daily anti-social antics have left man fearful of leaving their homes as it keeps watch from atop a house in Crouch End.
It is believed its nest contains baby gulls, meaning the bird is looking to protect its family.
But many people have reported being attacked, with dogs and cats not safe from the feathered menace.
Writing on Facebook, one wrote: "It has come to my attention in recent weeks there is fear rising, and it's the effect of a terrorising seagull.
“I have witnessed it multiple times nose dive at passers by, with full intention of striking had they not had ninja like reflexes.
“I heard it went for a dog last week and tonight I saw it strike a runner and later a near miss with a small child.
"Even the other seagulls were p*ssed, and subsequently went in to attack it, but to no avail, he's still at large. Enough is enough, what can we do?
"Admittedly, this sounds comical, but it is not.”
Reacting to the shocking story, a number of other locals shared their own scary encounters with the angry gull, with one responding: "I live across the road from this and they have been attacking people on the daily. Someone lost their shoe running away from it.
"They have little babies on the roof we can see bobbing their heads up so they are protecting them.
“They circle everyone and then attack."
Another agreed: "It has attacked my sister twice in the early morning and then actually came for me at about 7:30pm today and also took a dive at my first floor window today to get into the house."
A third said: "It had a swipe at me and my dog at the weekend.
We both walked away unscathed but shaken, nonetheless."
Others pointed out that there wasn't much to be done though, with the gull protected from being moved.
It is illegal for anyone to block off or move any bird's nest and it's illegal to intentionally kill, take or injure gulls according to the RSPCA.
Last month it was reported people in seaside town Torquay are being subjected to a reign of terror by vicious seagulls .
Locals and tourists in the popular seaside resort have blasted the “burly” seagulls attacking members of the public and scattering rubbish through the streets.
Resident Suzanne Collins said: “I don't like them.
“They rip rubbish open and they attack people. They're just vermin basically. “The rats are probably kinder than the seagulls are."
