The Government is being urged to bring in tough new rules which could mean UK users have to prove their age before being able to access porn sites.
43 Conservative MPs have written to the Culture Secretary calling for an amendment to the government’s Online Safety Bill. Lord Bethell of Romford's amendment would force sites where children can see pornography to bring in age verification within six months, reports The Times.
The bill covers both pornography provider sites, such as Pornhub, and sites with user-generated content, such as OnlyFans.
