Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi raised concerns about the safety of Indian seafarers during his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in Evian, France, days after three Indian sailors were killed in a US strike off the coast of Oman.

Opening the bilateral meeting, Modi highlighted the contribution made by Indian seafarers to global maritime trade and stressed that their welfare remained a priority for India.
