NEW DELHI: Former Indian cricketer Yograj Singh, father of Yuvraj Singh, has made controversial remarks targeting World Cup-winning former Indian captains Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni. Singh accused Dhoni of undermining Yuvraj’s international cricket career and claimed Yuvraj’s achievements surpass those of Kapil Dev. These statements followed closely on the heels of his criticism of Dhoni for allegedly ending Yuvraj’s career prematurely.
In a recent interview with Zee Switch, Yograj Singh blamed Dhoni for the downturn in Yuvraj’s career. Singh asserted that his son could have continued to play for India for another "4-5 years" if not for Dhoni's adverse influence.
