AFL:First-class luxury: Dockers to play it safe with stars

Fremantle defender Brennan Cox is in line to be given a well-earned rest this week, while the Dockers are also keen to play it safe with ruckman Sean Darcy and midfielder Jaeger O'Meara.

The Dockers (11-1) are on top of the AFL ladder and riding a club-record 11-match winning streak heading into Saturday's clash with North Melbourne in Bunbury - a country town 175km south of Perth.

Although Caleb Serong will miss a third straight game with a calf injury, Fremantle are set to be boosted by the return of fellow star midfielder Hayden Young from concussion.

Matthew Johnson (hamstring) has also been cleared to play after suffering a scare in last week's 25-point win over Brisbane.

But coach Justin Longmuir is leaning towards playing it safe with Cox, who copped a knock to the knee in the same game but has escaped injury.
