Melbourne superstar Kysaiah Pickett has avoided suspension for tripping Collingwood enforcer Brayden Maynard.

Best-on-ground in the Demons' thrilling King's Birthday win over the Magpies on Monday, Pickett was staring at a spell on the sidelines.

But the premiership ace will be available for Melbourne's clash with Essendon on Saturday after receiving a $3000 fine.
