Afghan refugees in the UK will be moved from hotels into alternative accommodation under plans recently announced by Downing Street.

The veterans’ affairs minister, Johnny Mercer, said they will have to accept the first offer made to them. A government source said the plan is to move all Afghan families out of hotels by the end of the year.

We would like to speak to people from Afghanistan who are being moved from a UK hotel into alternative accommodation. What is your present situation and what is the accommodation you have been offered like? Are you happy with it?

Are you being moved to a different area? How far is it from the area you are in now? If you have children in school, how will they be impacted?

Some experts have warned the move could lead to homelessness. Do you feel supported? Do you have concerns?

We are also interested in speaking to people involved in the process of relocating people to new accommodation about the government plans, anonymously if needed.
