Affordable Innovation: How Fintech and Fertility Can Shape Conservative Policy in South Florida

As an entrepreneur and a founder of numerous business ventures, Michael Carbonara brings an operator's mindset to policymaking. Currently, he is running for the United States House of Representatives for Florida District 25 as a Republican candidate. By applying the lessons he has learned from financial technology and AI-driven healthcare, he now strives to build practical, affordable solutions for South Floridians. His dual experience in fintech and genomics uniquely positions him to advocate for market-driven reforms that increase access while reducing costs.

While he wears many professional hats, Michael sees himself first and foremost as a builder, a husband, and a Catholic father who came from a working-class home. He founded companies in financial technology and in fertility care because he believes it is a necessity to solve real problems, remove red tape, and deliver results that people can feel in their daily lives. To further pursue these ambitious goals, he is now running for Congress. If elected, he pledges to make life more affordable, better protect individual freedoms, and also make communities safer in South Florida. He believes that out-of-touch elitist politicians have been in power for too long, and that it's time to get someone who actually cares into the position of power, to make real changes for real people.

Entrepreneurial Experience

Michael is the founder of companies such as Ibanera and Gattaca Genomics. Ibanera is a global fintech platform specializing in cryptocurrency investments, and Gattaca Genomics is an AI-based fertility care company. Each of these ventures has demonstrated success in highly regulated, innovative sectors, and is indicative of the kind of people-first work that Michael puts at the forefront of his career in every facet.

Affordability as a Core Policy Goal

As part of his political campaign, Michael is proposing lowering the cost of living through streamlined permitting, healthcare price transparency, and smarter public spending. Throughout his entrepreneurship journey, he has faced every problem imaginable, such as a lack of experience, a lack of or no funding, and a lack of connections. He became successful by being persistent, partnering with good people, learning along the way, and being dedicated to building businesses he was passionate about. Now, he hopes to apply these same driving principles to a political position, bringing affordability and change to people throughout the state.

He is also no stranger to understanding the importance of hope, perseverance, and determination in the face of political turmoil. His wife's family fled communist Cuba to find freedom and opportunity. They moved here to pursue the American dream, and Michael refuses to watch as those freedoms erode. He's taking a stand and crusading for those classic beliefs, both for his own family and for others.

Policy as Product

Michael treats policy like a product and operations as the means to remove friction, align incentives, and deliver outcomes people can feel in their daily lives. As he details, "Gone are the days that we are represented by out-of-touch elite politicians. It's time for the builders to build a better future for Florida."

A Better Tomorrow

Moving forward, Michael Carbonara's near-term goals include reducing the cost of living through faster building, smarter spending, and health care price transparency. He strives to strengthen public safety by focusing on traffickers and repeat offenders while supporting accountable policing. Furthermore, he aims to protect parental rights and raise standards in education so students master reading, math, science, and real civics. Education, rather than indoctrination.

As he concludes, "I'm running for US Congress for Florida's 25th district to restore America's freedom and bring back economic opportunity and opportunity for the American dream for the next generation."
