Week 7 brought another slate of NFL games that included some entertaining duels and some absolutely shocking upsets across the league.
After seven weeks, the AFC East still has one team at the top of the division – the Miami Dolphins at 5-2.
Miami remained atop despite suffering a Sunday night loss to the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. The Eagles did a great job stuffing the Dolphins’ rushing efforts, which significantly hampered their offensive output. Mike McDaniel’s squad also severely lost the penalty battle 10-0. Not many teams will win games like that.
The Buffalo Bills are still in second place after losing to the New England Patriots on Sunday afternoon in a game that came down to the wire. Quarterback Mac Jones, who has been benched multiple times this year, looked solid as he helped move his team up and down the field, eventually finding former Dolphins tight end Mike Gesicki for a late, go-ahead touchdown.
Buffalo continues to struggle, as they’ve lost two in a row and three on the season, while New England won just their second game on the year, with the other coming against the New York Jets.
Speaking of the Jets, they were on their bye week, and with the Patriots win over Buffalo, they’re just one game back of second place in the division, and they hold the tiebreaker over the Bills.
