AFC East: Jets will hope for a Bills’ loss vs. Jaguars on ESPN

The New York Jets will hope that the undefeated Buffalo Bills lose to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday Night Football in week 3.

The Bills got plenty of rest after defeating the Miami Dolphins in week 2, another Jets’ divisional foe. The Bills will now the Jaguars at home holding a one-game lead in the division.  Having started the season with a 2-0 record, the Jets would trail the Bills by a whole game if they are victorious Monday.

With a 10-day rest, it’s important that the Jets’ focus in on the teams in that might inhibit them from winning the AFC East. On Thur. the Jets took full advantage of a battered New England Patriots offensive line, asserting their dominance both on offense and on defense. Additionally, Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagivolua will be absent from Miami so the Jets should be determined to maintain their winning streak to potential catch or surpass  the Bills.

Josh Allen and the Bills have won the AFC East for consecutive seasons but the Jets have full intentions on re-writing history this year. Tonight, they have the chance of moving one step closer to that short-term goal.
