A former Australian aerial skier has been reported missing, with police issuing an urgent public appeal to help locate the 24-year-old.

Brittany George was last seen leaving an address in Ascot, on Brisbane's north side, at 10am last Friday.

Police say she could be driving a silver Mazda 2 with Queensland registration 684CX8.

Ms George's family say her disappearance is out of character and are they seriously concerned for her wellbeing because she suffers from a medical condition.

The aerial skier has represented Australia at multiple international events and was poised to compete at the upcoming Winter Olympics before she broke her back.

In 2019 she was one of only two Australians competing in the Nor-Am [North American] Cup and took home her first career continental cup victory.

Ms George is described as being Caucasian, 165 cm in height, with brown hair and a proportionate build.

She has a one-word tattoo on her lower left arm and a small tattoo on her right ankle.

Police are urging anyone with information about Ms George's disappearance to contact them immediately.
