AEMO ditches community meeting to discuss VNI-West transmission project with farmers

The Australian Energy Market Operator [AEMO] has refused to attend an energy infrastructure consultation meeting in western Victoria after hundreds of people arrived to protest the project.  

Tractors, utes and more than 300 community members drove through the streets of St Arnaud yesterday to protest the proposed VNI-West transmission line, during a scheduled meeting with the market operator.
