Adwoa Aboah welcomes her first child with boyfriend Daniel Wheatley

Adwoa Aboah has welcomed her first child with boyfriend Daniel Wheatley.

The 31-year-old Top Boy star and her American skateboarder boyfriend, 33, shared the joyful news on Instagram on Wednesday.

Posting photos from the birth, the British model revealed they welcomed their baby girl, Shy Trinity Afua Wheatley, to the world via emergency caesarean.

In her caption, the new mum wrote: “Our stunning daughter was born at 11:22pm on August 23 via emergency C-section.

“Our hearts have literally exploded into a million pieces. Shy Trinity Afua Wheatley. What the f**k.”

Adoah and cinematographer Wheatley, who have been dating since 2021, have kept their relationship mostly private, only occasionally sharing photos together on birthdays and special occasions.

In 2021, the British runway star humorously told the Daily Mail: "I’ve always wanted to go out with a long-legged skater."

The couple first hinted at their growing family when Adwoa debuted her baby bump at this year's Met Gala.

She bared her baby bump for the first time in a voluminous red bubble skirt, paired with a matching red ruffled crop top, layered on top of a red sparkling bra.

The fashion star paired her interpretation of the theme Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion with a pair of matching satin court heels and opted for a fresh makeup look with an avant-garde red lipstick.

The model joined the tradition of Met Gala red carpet pregnancy announcements, following in the footsteps of Karlie Kloss and Serena Williams last year.

Aboah is one of the world’s most recognisable models and fronted Edward Enninful’s first edition at the helm of British Vogue in December 2017 which began his six-year reign at the fashion magazine.

She has modelled for Vogue, Calvin Klein and Fendi and went on to found online platform Gurls Talk to empower young women and provide them with a space to discuss mental health, sexuality and body image.
