Fans are rushing to buy George's new Disney collection that is being sold to mark the 100th anniversary of the popular media company.
Shoppers say they are obsessed with the new range, which includes outfits for adults and kids. Sharing images of the Mickey Mouse jumpers and trousers on social media, a George spokesperson wrote: "We’re obsessed with Chantelle Champs matching Mickey looks with her ‘Minnie’ me’s Disney UK. Who else is celebrating 100 years of Disney?"
The post quickly amassed hundreds of likes, with dozens of people commenting under. One customer wrote: "As soon as these came out, I got them for [my] grandchildren."
Another said: "I wanted to buy these so much for me and kids but I would need large size than 6-7." "OMG, we need these," someone else wrote.
In another post, the store shared an image of its Disney PJ collection, which attracted equal interest. One fan wrote: "On my way to Asda PJs for all the family."
Primark is also joining in with the Disney celebrations by launching a 70-piece collection that will be released throughout the year. The first range hitting Primark stores will be the Mickey Mouse Originals, and includes clothing and nightwear across adult and kidswear.
Sarah Jackson, Director of Licensing at Primark, said: “We’re so proud to have collaborated with Disney for over a decade and are delighted to celebrate Disney100 with a range of collections, all inspired by the magic and wonder of this iconic brand. Our first collection, Mickey Mouse Originals, features retro designs with modern bright colours, and is perfect for the whole family."
