Free agent running back and former longtime Minnesota Viking Adrian Peterson was arrested on a felony for an alleged domestic violence incident, according to TMZ.com.
Peterson was reportedly taken into custody on Sunday following an incident with his wife at the Los Angeles International Airport.
“Earlier today Adrian and his wife Ashley had a verbal argument on a flight, and he was removed from the plane,” a representative for the Petersons told TMZ. “This is a private misunderstanding between husband and wife and we anticipate it will all be resolved shortly.”
Back in 2014, Peterson faced felony charges for alleged child abuse involving his four-year-old son. He pled no contest and was put on the NFL commissioner’s exempt list.
