The adorable moment an Edinburgh couple tied the knot on a popular city beach has been captured by locals who watched on.
The unknown newly-weds were spotted on Portobello Beach on Saturday afternoon surrounded by friends and family as they read each other their vows in full view of hundreds of locals.
The spot, which is typically swarming with sun worshipers in the summer, made for the perfect backdrop as an image taken by one eye witness, Ruth Boreham, captured the sea in the background.

The bride is seen wearing her beautiful white wedding dress, resting on top of the sand and surrounded by her bridesmaids all sporting a bottle green dress.
The groom and his groomsmen are also turned out in their kilts, with several other members sitting on travel chairs. Taking to Twitter to share the lovely moment, Ruth said: "Spotted on Porty beach - what an amazing place to have a wedding!
"This photo does not show how many of us had stopped to watch as well - and how many took photos even though we have no idea who they are!"
Another user said: "Why pay for and waste money on fancy venues when the great outdoors is equally if not totally more amazing? Gorgeous day for it."
The weather made the ceremony that little bit more special with the sun making an appearance throughout the afternoon despite a calm breeze ensuring those present did not overheat, especially those in kilts and jackets.
