Adil Ray calls for HR as he's screamed at on ITV Good Morning Britain

Adil Ray wasn't impressed when he was screamed at on Good Morning Britain - but it wasn't as it seems. The presenter and actor was back fronting the ITV news programme on Thursday (January 26) alongside Ranvir Singh as the pair took over the reins of the show from Ed Balls and Susanna Reid.

As well as discussing the latest news headlines, catching up on the latest showbiz news and the usual wide-ranging debates, Ranvir and Adil also had time to chat with the stars of SAS: Who Dares Wins, Chief DS Mark 'Billy' Billingham and the show's new DS Chris Oliver.

In preparation for their chat, Adil slipped out of his smart suit and could be seen donning a khaki green top and cargo pants with a camouflage hat while also gripping onto a green water bottle. Adil and Ravir then chatted to Billy and Chris about the new 'Jungle Hell' series which started over the weekend.

The eighth series of the Channel 4 show kicked off with a fresh group of 20 recruits to take on a series of once-in-a-lifetime challenges. The contestants will be thrown into the 'jungle hell' of Thung Ui, North Vietnam, to attempt to complete the punishing jungle phase of SAS selection.

The special condensed version of the SAS Selection is again led by an elite team of ex-special forces operators from both the UK and US. This year, Billy, an expert in jungle warfare who spent half of his military career in the jungle, has been promoted to Chief DS while newbie Chris has a military career spans over 16 years and has seen him serve all over the globe. The team also saw the comeback of Jason 'Foxy' Fox and Rudy Reyes from the US.

Before wrapping up their short chat at the end of today's show, Adil and Ranvir with given a little taste of what the recruits face from the tough-talking Directing Staff. While Adil jumped from his seat to get involved, Ranvir appeared a bit more reluctant as they were tasked with holding up a military bergen bag.

Adil shouted as he was shouted at (ITV)

"Woah, blimey!" Adil repeatedly said as he realised the weight of what he was holding. He began shouting: "What is this?" as Chris began to shout out them that their efforts 'weren't good enough'. Adil replied: "There's no need to shout." Chris told them to put their bergen's over their heads to which Adil called out: "Where's HR?"

He then attempted to lift the bag but Chris told them they 'weren't good enough' and to put the bag down. "I did better than her," he complained pointing to Ranvir who didn't really attempt the challenge. But the scenes got a mixed review from viewers. @mrsjbutler said: "Love how @adilray went all Crocodile Dundee this morning ha ha ha #GMB." But @CHEZPEZ36 complained: "Adil so rude, ' I did better than her ' #GMB."
