Adidas unveils its colourful new 2022 Women’s Euros kits

Sportswear giants Adidas has released its new line of international football kits ahead of the 2022 UEFA Women’s Euros. The bold kit designs all feature a central badge as well as the classic colourways synonymous with each nation.

Inspired by each country’s flag, Adidas has designed each home kit to ‘capture and reimagine the DNA of each nation’. The away kits are based on previous iconic kits from each nation.

The new kits have been released for Northern Ireland, Germany, Spain, Sweden and Belgium who will feature in the upcoming international competition hosted in England. Each kit is also environmentally friendly having been created using recycled materials made with Parley Ocean Plastic. They also feature technology that will help both players and fans wearing each kit to stay cool.

Northern Ireland’s home kit in the classic shade of green features a white collar with dark blue trim. Adidas has switched up Belgium’s home kit away from the traditional red with only a red line noticeable on the collar and yellow stripes along the shoulder. Their away kit is much more striking in all yellow with a minimalistic stencil badge.

Following suit is Sweden’s classic all yellow kit with blue trim, which sees the colours reversed on the away kit. Spain and Germany feature traditional respective red and white kits with similar graphic detailed away shirts.

Kicking off on Wednesday, July 6, England will take on Austria at Manchester United ’s home ground, Old Trafford.

The tournament, which has been delayed for a year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, will be played at venues across England in London, Manchester Milton Keynes, Sheffield, Brighton & Hove and Rotherham. The final will take place at Wembley on Sunday, July 31.

The kits are available via the Adidas website and at JD Sports.
