Adele 'sobbed on phone to Rich Paul while struggling to get through Vegas rehearsals'

Adele was reportedly 'sobbing on the phone' to boyfriend Rich Paul during rehearsals for her Las Vegas shows.

The 33-year-old songstress ultimately had to postpone the highly-anticipated concerts after her 'entire team' crumbled after contracting Covid.

The Someone Like You hitmaker took to Instagram last week to deliver the news that the shows would be postponed until further notice after a drastic couple of weeks in rehearsals.

And now, an inside source has claimed that Adele was 'sobbing' on the phone to her boyfriend of six-months as her concert plans came crashing down.

Before the British singer confirmed that her shows were to be postponed, there appeared to be a lot of drama brewing behind the scenes.

"Adele’s been crying and couldn’t get through a single full rehearsal for the past month,” a source told Page Six.

“Just constantly on the phone with Rich, loudly shouting and sobbing.

“She has barely rehearsed because she is constantly in the middle of an emotional shootout.”

Caesars Palace insiders are now riddled with concern that Adele will cancel the concerts for good.

“There are rumblings that there are stresses related to Adele’s relationship. These stresses caused her to be in a place where she was just not confident moving forward,” the source added.

“You can’t focus if you’re not where you need to be in your head.”

Following her shock announcement, Adele reportedly took a private jet straight to her boyfriend's home.

Adele and her beau met through mutual friends last year.

They made their public debut in July when the Hello singer accompanied Paul, 40, to an NBA Finals game in Phoenix, Arizona.

The sports mogul is Adele’s first relationship since her divorce from Simon Konecki.

The ex-couple share son Angelo, nine, and they finalised their divorce in March 2021.

Most recently, former Good Morning Britain star Piers Morgan, 56, called Adele a 'privileged, pampered prima donna' in his new column as he dubbed her cancelling the shows as a 'disgrace'.

The opinionated star said Adele's fans 'believed in her because she was a working-class girl who treated them as equals'.

He went on: "But now she has morphed into just another staggeringly rich, privileged, pampered prima donna who thinks it’s fine to pull the plug on months of shows at a moment’s notice because she can’t get everything she demands.

"The show didn’t go on for Adele — last seen on British TV a few weeks ago lapping up nauseatingly sycophantic compliments from a drooling celebrity audience — because her ego is now writing cheques her fans couldn’t even dream of cashing.

"And frankly, it’s a disgrace."

The residency's postponement sparked fury among many, demanding she refunds the money they had laid out given how little short notice she provided.

In her video message posted on Instagram, a teary Adele said: "I'm so sorry, but my show ain't ready.

"We've tried absolutely everything that we can to pull it together in time and for it to be good enough for you, but we've been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID," she said, adding that "half my team are down with" the virus.

Adele had been due to perform 24 shows at Caesars Palace Hotel starting Friday following the release of her fourth album, "30."

The Mirror has contacted Adele's representatives for comment.
