Adele sets sights on University degree and Hollywood once Las Vegas residency is over

Her Las Vegas residency is finally about to kick off, but Adele is already making plans to get a Uni degree once it’s done.

The singer, who kicks off her Weekends With Adele gigs in Sin City next month, wants a BA in English Literature, as she regrets missing out on University.

But the singer - who floats on water wearing a £10k Valentino gown with a glass of red in her new video for I Drink Wine - won’t be joining in with any drinking games on campus in Freshers’ Week.

“After Vegas I want to get a degree in English Literature,” she says. “If I hadn’t made it singing, I think I would be an English Lit teacher.”

Adele, 34, was particularly inspired by her English teacher, Ms. McDonald, who she reunited with on stage last year.

“I definitely think I use my passion for English Lit in what I do,” she continues. “I wish I’d gone to University and had that experience, but I will do it online with a tutor.

“That’s my plan for 2025, just to get the qualification.”

But Adele has many more ambitions as well, letting Hollywood bosses know she wants to star in a film - just one - as long as she doesn’t have to sing.

“I often get asked to do things that are music related, but I think that’s too obvious,” she says. “I think I would nail it - not that I’ve ever acted. One movie and then f*** off. Story of my life.”

And she might just attempt to complete her award tally of an Emmy, a Grammy an Oscar and a Tony, known as an Ego, by heading to Broadway to try to land a Tony.

“I was wondering if I could move the show from Vegas to Broadway and win a Tony,” she muses.

“But I actually like the sound of an EGO more than an EGOT, it’s quite fun.

“But never say never, if I move to New York and get bored, I’ll be on that stage in a hot second.”

Hard to imagine getting bored after all that.
