Adele's massive net worth and staggering 2021 earnings as she headlines BST Hyde ParkHVGIio3z

Tottenham-born star Adele is to perform two sold-out nights at Hyde Park as part of a stellar summer festival in the capital.

The Someone Like You singer will take to the Great Oak Stage on Friday July 1 and Saturday July 2 in front of 65,000 people for her set of British Summer Time (BST) shows.

Having sold millions of records and living it up in the USA, the British performer has racked up a healthy bank balance since her first album, 19, was released in 2007.

Her takings have reportedly shot up in the past year - a factor that might have played a part in the 34-year-old's recent decision to move into a flash £42million mega mansion in California with sports agent boyfriend Rich Paul.

The BST festival is spread across three main weekends, with the event having kicked off on Friday June 24 and running until Sunday July 10.

The shows have all been held at Hyde Park, with performers such as Sir Elton John, Rolling Stones and Eagles rolling back the years during their headline shows in recent weeks to wow the masses.

Mick Jagger and the rest of the Stones are back on Sunday July 3 to showcase some of their hits from a 60-year career.

But before that, Adele, who was born in north London but spent her formative years south of the river, will play two packed-to-the-rafters gigs.

Playing out the festival across its final weekend will be American grunge rockers Pearl Jam and 1980s new wave act Duran Duran.

Adele's net worth

The Sunday Times Rich List put Adele’s net worth at £150million - up £20million in just 12 months.

Last year saw the mother-of-one release 30, her fourth album, with the record shooting up the charts.

Despite only being released in November it became the UK’s best-selling album of 2021.

The quality of the recordings saw her clean up at the Brit Awards, taking home Album of the Year, Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for her comeback single, Easy On Me.

Being a huge sensation in the US always helps bolster an artist’s finances and Adele cracked the Stateside market off the strength of her debut album, 19, which included hits such as Hometown Glory and Chasing Pavements.

The album 30 - an outlet to express her emotions following her divorce from charity entrepreneur Simon Konecki - was no different, becoming the top-selling album of 2021 in America after just three days.

More than 51 million people listen to her on Spotify each month — more than Rihanna, Billie Eilish or Sir Elton - meaning even the streaming sites end up paying her a pretty penny.

And while splurging more than £40million on a 3.5-acre house in Beverley Hills might not seem like a case of counting the pennies, The Sunday Times argues differently.

The newspaper reported how former owner and Hollywood heavyweight Sylvester Stallone had the property, which boasts eight bedrooms, 12 bathrooms and a swimming pool, on the market for almost double the amount Adele bought it for, with an initial £81million asking price.
