Adele is one of the most well-known singers of all time, with millions of fans all over the globe. However, it seems even being one of the world's biggest superstars won't stop people from pronouncing your name wrong.
The singer let slip that her adoring fans have gotten it wrong for years during a Q&A session about the release of her latest music video I Drink Wine last week.
Speaking on Happy Hour with Adele with Benito Skinner, a fellow Cockney woman appeared on screen from London, leaving viewers in the studio and at home sharing a moment of revelation.

Adele, 34, was delighted and exclaimed: "Where's she from, Enfield? She said my name perfectly!"
It turns out it's not ah-dell after all, and Adele actually prefers a faint lilt at the end of her name to align with her North London accent.
The name should, in fact, be pronounced with a slight emphasis on the second syllable: "uh-dale."
The somewhat surprising confession comes after she opened up about the decision not to use her surname.
Her full name is Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, as the singer took her mother's maiden name after her father, Marc Evans, left when she was just two years old.
The name Adele, despite sounding French, derives from the German name Adel meaning 'nobility', or Adal, which translates to 'noble'.
She told YouTuber NikkieTutorials: "I could have never used my surname. Adele Adkins does not have the same ring as Adele."
She previously said her last name sounded 'drab', and rather than invent a stage name, she dropped her surname entirely.
Her album 30 was the biggest-selling album of 2021 and topped off a comeback when she performed I Drink Wine at the Brit Awards in February, scooping single of the year for Easy On Me.
Adele is now set to begin her series of shows at Caesars Palace from November 18, which will run until March 2023.
