Fans wanting to see Adele perform in Las Vegas will have to fork out eye-watering sums. Tickets for the singer's much-anticipated US run of gigs are selling for almost £40,000.
The Mirror reports that front row seats for the opening night of the Rolling In The Deep star's 32-date gig run are up for grabs at £38,716 on one online ticketing platform. Even the cheap seats at the very back of the 4,100-seat Colosseum at Caesars Palace are on sale at £579 for for the show that lasts around 100 minutes.
The Weekend With Adele run of concerts begins on November 18. Tickets are being sold for the staggering prices on re-sale website Stub Hub.
The 12-time Brit Award winner rescheduled the concerts after withdrawing with just 24 hours' notice earlier this year. Tickets that were originally on sale for a comparatively cheap £73 to £590 were snapped up within minutes, many of which are now on sale again for vastly inflated amounts via resale sites.
The most expensive tickets are far pricier than those of other superstars who have performed at the glitzy venue. Previous headliners headliners include Celine Dion, Sir Elton John, Sir Rod Stewart and Jennifer Lopez.
Brodie Cooper of US marketing firm PRrppd said the tickets were “by far the highest in the history of the Las Vegas strip”. He said: “Sales websites would not charge those types of fees if people were not willing to pay.”
Speaking about cancelling, Adele told BBC ’s Desert Island Discs in January: “I definitely felt everyone’s disappointment.”
