Adele breaks down in tears as she's forced to reschedule shows

Adele has broken down in tears on social media as she announced she's been forced to reschedule her tour.

The singer says her Las Vegas residency, which was set to be begin at Caesar's Palace on Friday, "is not ready" after a number of factors including the pandemic has hit her preparations.

"Listen, I'm so sorry but my show ain't ready," she sobbed in a new video.

"We've tried absolutely everything we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you but we've been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and Covid.

"Half my team, half my crew are hit by Covid, they still are and it's been impossible to finish the show and I can't give you what I have right now and I'm gutted.

"I'm sorry it's so last minute, we've been awake for over 30 hours now trying to figure it out and we've run out of time and I'm so upset and I'm really embarrassed.

"I'm so sorry to everyone that's travelled again, I'm really really sorry.

"We're on it we're going to reschedule all of the dates and I'm going to finish the show and get it to where it's supposed to be for you."

Sharing the emotional clip, Adele promised fans: "All dates will be rescheduled, more info coming soon."

The singing sensation, 31, shared the words from her hotel room as she updated her fans who were eagerly awaiting the start of her Vegas residency.

Her fans were supportive of her comments though and flocked to her post on Instagram with supportive messages.

One user commented: "Adele Blue, don’t cry! We’ll be there when it’s ready. You know what’s best for you and us, your fans."

Another penned: "It’s life. There are hard times all around. Don’t fret."

And a third said: "I admire your vulnerability and honesty. Be well, stay healthy, and take the time you need."

It had been reported earlier in the week that the star had also been warned she could face damaging her vocal cords at the gigs because of the dry heat in the desert city.

The singer - who was said to be set to pocket £30 million from the residency - was warned by Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott about the risks the surroundings posed.

The 62-year-old told the Daily Star: "I had to fill my bath with boiling water every night and put kettles and humidifiers all over the place so you wake up drowned."
