Adele breaks down in tears as she reveals gender of couple’s unborn child live on Las Vegas stage

Adele broke down in tears as she helped a couple reveal the gender of their unborn baby during one of her Las Vegas concerts.

The British singer, 35, saw a sign in the audience at one of her Weekends With Adele shows that read: “Adele, will you do our gender reveal?”

It was being held up by New York-based fans Chris, the father – who according to his social media page is an illusionist – and expectant mother Shantelle.

The star, who has a residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, said she was “obsessed” with the request – especially as signs aren’t technically allowed into the concert space.

In a now viral-video, posted by the father of the baby, Adele announced the couple are expecting a baby boy.

The star then began sobbing on stage, saying it was “so emotional” to be involved in the moment.

Adele also asked the couple to return the favour and reveal the gender of her baby if she has another child.

The sweet video has been liked nearly 2,000 times.

Earlier this year the singer announced an extension of her Las Vegas residency, which had previously run from November 2022 to March 2023.

The new dates will run until November 4 2023.

Last month, Adele spoke out against the recent number of fans throwing things on stage at artists, telling her audience she would “kill you” if they tried.

During one of her Las Vegas shows, the British singer told the crowd: “Have you noticed how people are like, forgetting f****** show etiquette at the moment? People just throwing s*** on stage, have you seen that?

“I f****** dare you. Dare you to throw something at me and I’ll f****** kill you.”

Along with Ed Sheeran and Harry Styles, Adele is among the UK’s wealthiest people under the age of 35, according to the 2023 Sunday Times 35 under 35 Rich List.

All three musicians were listed as having wealth higher than £150 million after seeing success in both the UK and the US.

Sheeran and Adele both claim spots in the top 10 of the under-35 list – Sheeran, 32, in seventh place with an estimated wealth of £300 million.

It comes following the release of his sixth studio album which became the UK’s fastest selling album of 2023.

Adele, who is now 35, is in ninth place with her wealth estimated as £165 million.
