Additional money needed to reinstate Mackintosh Building, says art school

Glasgow School of Art (GSA) has said additional financial support is needed if the Mackintosh Building is to be restored to its former glory, after it was devastated by fires in 2014 and 2018.

The art school has said it will cost about £265 million to reinstate the historic building – equivalent to five times the GSA’s annual turnover.
