A stage adaptation of Malorie Blackman's hit novel Noughts and Crosses will be coming to Liverpool this November.
The play will be taking to the Liverpool Playhouse Theatre stage from November 22 to 26 as part of a national tour. The novel has been adapted by Sabrina Mahfouz in a performance by Pilot Theatre.
Noughts and Crosses explores forbidden love, racial segregation and what it means to grow up in a divided world, with a storyline that revolves around racial inequality. The story includes a Romeo and Juliet-style romance and portrays an alternate society.

The play's adaptor, Sabrina Mahfouz, said: "It's brilliant that this play will go back on stages across the UK and get people talking about racism, love, the power of youth, injustice and all the issues Malorie Blackman's story brings to the forefront of her characters' lives."
Tickets to the play are priced from £10 to £30. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the Everyman and Playhouse website.
