The Super Bowl isn’t just about the game itself. It’s about the leadup.
Radio Row is popping with hundreds of analysts, podcasts, radio and television shows broadcasting live and talking to the who’s who of the NFL’s past, present and future.
One of those players was Minneosta Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen. He made the rounds on Thursday morning and did multiple interviews and was asked about his future in Minnesota. He made it clear that he wants to be here.
“I want to retire a Vikings. Will that happen? I don’t know. This is also a business. And I also want my opportunity to show that I can play at a high level.”
He also told the Pat McAfee Show that he and the Vikings are “working through some stuff” and it makes total sense. He carries a cap hit of $19.97 million in 2023 and would only save $6.417,647 million by moving on per Over The Cap.
If the Vikings end up releasing Thielen, he almost certainly will be the best wide receiver on the free agent market.
