In-form Adam Scott has made another hot start to be tied third at the PGA Tour's all-important second FedEx Cup playoff event in Colorado.

Scott fired a four-under-par 68 at Castle Pines Golf Club to trail only resurgent American Keegan Bradley and Japanese superstar Hideki Matsuyama after the suspended first round.

Returning to the scene of his maiden PGA Tour start 24 years ago, Australia's former world No.1 reeled off four birdies in a five-hole burst to open the back nine to significantly improve his position in the season-long points standings.
