Adam Ramsay-Peaty missed out on a podium place as he finished fifth in the men’s 100m breaststroke final at the European Aquatics Championships in Paris.

The 16-time European and three-time Olympic champion, who broke down in tears after winning bronze in the event at the Commonwealth Games last month, touched the wall in 59.10 seconds.
