Adam Lallana was left disappointed with how Rangers set themselves up against former club Liverpool on Tuesday night.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side have now lost their first three games in Champions League Group A without a goal scored after Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mo Salah goals sealed an easy win for Jurgen Klopp's team. It would have been more had it not been for Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor keeping the score at 2-0 with a range of wonderful saves.
Van Bronckhorst set up with a back five and midfielder Lallana pinpointed captain James Tavernier's inability to get forward as a sign of how negatively Rangers set up for battle amid a ropey start to the season for Liverpool saw them head into this game off a 3-3 draw against his Brighton team. The pair face off again on matchday four at Ibrox next week and Lallana told 5 Live: "I think it was extremely comfortable for Liverpool.

"I was slightly disappointed in the way Rangers approached the game off the back of the result at the weekend and season Liverpool are having.
"I probably expected Rangers to be a bit more aggressive and see if they could capitalise in any way. But it was total dominance for Liverpool. I thought they were extremely passive in the way they set up.
"It was a flat back five and Tavernier never got forward it felt like. It's a tough place to go and sometimes it can be intimidating for clubs like Rangers who aren't often in the Champions League. But maybe it was a perfect game for Liverpool off a few games that haven't gone their way."
