Rick Harrison's late son Adam Harrison will not be featured on the upcoming season of Pawn Stars, as confirmed by PEOPLE. Adam, who tragically passed away at the age of 39 on Jan. 19 due to a fentanyl overdose, was not a cast member of the popular History channel show.
Pawn Stars, which also stars Rick's other son Corey Harrison and Austin 'Chumlee' Russell, has started filming season 23 this month. The news was first reported by TMZ.
A representative for Rick, Laura Herlovich, confirmed Adam's passing to the Las Vegas Review-Journal last month, expressing the family's deep sadness and requesting privacy during their time of mourning.
Rick, 58, shared a heartfelt tribute to his son on Instagram, posting a photo of himself and Adam with the caption, 'You will always be in my heart! I love you Adam. ❤️'.
Adam was the second child of Rick and his ex-wife, Kim, after Corey. Rick later remarried Tracy, with whom he shares a son named Jake.
Although Adam did not appear on Pawn Stars alongside his father and brother, he reportedly worked at Gold & Silver Pawn before the show premiered in 2009.
