Leeds United's terrible run of form continued on Wednesday night as Marcelo Bielsa's side fell to a 6-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.
Leeds had started brightly in a game that looked set to be back-and-forth but Liverpool won a penalty in the 15th minute after Stuart Dallas handled a cross from Andy Robertson. Leeds looked to have equalised through Raphinha as he swept in Jack Harrison's cross at the far post but the Brazilian had strayed a yard offside. Instead of parity, Leeds soon found themselves two down, as Joel halfway, played a one-two with Mo Salah and fired past Illan Meslier. Another penalty from Salah made it three by half-time.
In the second half, Liverpool appeared to manage the game, before a flurry of goals late on including a Sadio Mane brace and Virgil Van Dijk injury time header punished Leeds further.
