Adam Azim has welcomed comparisons to Anthony Joshua as he eyes boxing stardom and a place in the Hall of Fame.
Azim has put together a perfect record of seven consecutive wins since turning professional, and is one of the most high-profile faces in the BOXXER and Sky Sports stable. The British star has earned comparisons to some of the sports leading names including Floyd Mayweather and Amir Khan despite only starting to tread the path towards world domination.
Some of the biggest stars in the modern era rose through the platform when Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing were paired with the broadcaster including Carl Froch and two-time heavyweight champion Joshua. Despite insisting he must remain grounded and take his career step-by-step, Azim believes he has the potential to become a Hall of Fame inductee under trainer Shane McGuigan.
"It is great for me Joshua started really young and after the Olympics he excelled to super-stardom," Azim told Mirror Fighting when assessing his future in the sport alongside some of the leading names. "Right now I am continuing my journey but along the way a range of opportunities will hopefully come.
"These include endorsement deals, you can get a big reputation and a big name but for me it is just about the boxing and I love boxing. I am doing this all because I love boxing but it is good I am getting comparisons with these sorts of names. One day I want to be a big name and become a Hall of Famer.
"Things are going great right now. Everywhere I am going I am getting people recognise me down the street now. That fight with Rylan Charlton was such a big fight and a lot of people tuned in. I got another spectacular KO that I wanted so I believe the signs are good for me."

Joshua made a remarkable rise to fame on the platform where he was considered arguably the most popular fighter on domestic shores in the modern era. A huge part of AJ's career was his ability to attract sold-out crowds across the country including at Wembley Stadium and the Principality Stadium.
Azim himself has an eye on a stadium fight and believes he could form a huge pay-per-view card alongside Liam Smith and Natasha Jonas at Liverpool's stadium Anfield. He continued: "That would be great incredible, packed out and some big fights. Me Natasha and Liam, him headlining with us next and that would be a tremendous scheme.
"It would be a very entertaining night I am sure of it and it is one of my dreams to fight at Anfield as well. It would probably be Liam in the main event, Natasha in the co-main event with me next behind them."
