Zachery Ty Bryan, known for his role in 'Home Improvement,' has been arrested in California for a suspected DUI. The 42-year-old actor was booked into the John Benoit Detention Center on charges of felony DUI with at least three felony priors and misdemeanor contempt of court. He was released on $50,000 bail and has a court hearing scheduled for April 23.
According to arrest records from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, police conducted a traffic stop after 2:00 a.m. local time when they saw a vehicle suspected of being involved in a traffic collision. The driver, later identified as Bryan, showed signs of impairment, leading to his arrest.
This is not Bryan's first brush with the law. In 2020, he was arrested for allegedly choking his then-girlfriend during an altercation in Oregon. He pleaded guilty and served seven days behind bars instead of facing a longer sentence.
In a previous interview, Bryan described the domestic violence incident as a 'learning experience' and emphasized that it was blown out of proportion. He acknowledged the loud argument with his partner but downplayed the physical aspect of the altercation.
Bryan's recent arrest adds to a series of legal troubles he has faced in the past. The actor has expressed gratitude for the lessons learned from these experiences and highlighted the importance of handling such situations with maturity and understanding.
