Active Covid cases spike 230% in Madhya Pradesh in 11 days, but tests 8,000 a day

BHOPAL: From 45 to 150, active Covid-19 cases have shot up by more than 230% in Madhya Pradesh in just 11 days. But tests are abysmally low, barely touching 8,000 in a state of 8 crore population, veiling the actual magnitude of the surge.

Is this a sign of the start of the fourth wave? Some experts feel so, but say it’s difficult to predict if it will peter out or spike.
