A drug user accused of a dealer's stabbing murder apologised to the victim and gave him a towel to treat the bleeding wound before fleeing, a court has been told.

Mark Peckham has pleaded not guilty to murdering drug dealer George Kirk during a scuffle at a house in Dubbo, western NSW, in the early hours of August 16, 2023.
