An El Salvadoran migrant, Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez, is facing charges of first-degree murder and first-degree rape in connection with the brutal killing of 37-year-old mother of five, Rachel Morin, on the Ma & Pa Trail in Bel Air, Maryland in August 2023. Morin was reported missing after failing to return from her daily jog, and her remains were later found stuffed in a drain pipe near the trail.
Martinez-Hernandez, who came to the U.S. illegally from El Salvador in 2023, is also suspected of another woman's murder in his home country and allegedly raped a woman and her 9-year-old daughter in a home invasion attack in California before his arrest in Morin's case.
