An Edinburgh bar has been named as one of the very best in the UK - and by proxy the best in Scotland - after the National Restaurant Awards revealed their nominees for 2022.
The fourth annual awards is 'focused on raising the profile of British Restaurants worldwide and providing an opportunity for customers to voice their opinions through nominations and votes', with customers voting across various categories including best restaurants, best chefs and best bars.
The likes of Gordon Ramsay, Jamie Oliver, Levi Roots, Ainsley Harriot, Gino D’Campo, Aldo Zilli, Heston Blumenthal, Simon Rimmer are included in this year's best chefs category.

But the only Scottish establishment to make the list is an Edinburgh cocktail bar, already considered one of the best in the country on account of its daring and delicious drinks poured to perfection on Queen Street, in the heart of the New Town.
The revered Bramble joins the likes of London's Swift Soho, Tayēr + Elementary and The Connaught Bar on the shortlist.
From a classic 'Bramble' cocktail to some more complicated alternatives, the bar and their staff have a strong reputation for their service as well as the atmosphere and overall experience, leading it to be crowned one of the best cocktail dens in the world back in 2020. Last year, it made the prestigious Top 50 cocktail bars in the UK list too.
The final list of winners for the National Restaurant Awards, as voted for by the public, will be announced at the annual gala and red carpet awards show in London.
