An accident on the M8 motorway near to Glasgow Airport has sparked traffic chaos this morning.
The incident took place just after 7:30am on the M8 Eastbound at Junction 28 Sanderling Road (Glasgow Airport).
Traffic information site INRIX has issued an alert to road users confirming that two lanes of the motorway are currently blocked, resulting in long delays and queueing traffic.

Congestion is reported back to Junction 29A (Southbar Interchange), and tailing back on the A737.
Drivers are being warned of delays of approximately 50 minutes.
The INRIX alert read: "Two lanes blocked, long delays and queueing traffic due to accident on M8 Eastbound at J28 Sanderling Road (Glasgow Airport). Congestion to 29A (Southbar Interchange), and tailing back on the A737. Travel time is 30 minutes."
Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
