Magomedov on the fight's key moment
“He’s already had 10 years in the UFC. He has much experience. We knew that he is a fighter who fight till the end, who can surprise you every minute of the fight. Because of this, we concentrated and worked on our game plan.”
Magomedov on snapping his skid
“It was a little bit of pressure on me because the last two fights, I lost. We changed some things in the preparation – work on this, and today we saw it works. I’m happy to get a victory. … You learn a lot from some losses, like for a win. The two losses (to Sean Strickland and Caio Borralho) opened my eyes to change something in my preparation. After those two losses, we changed some things to work on it, and today we got a win.”
Magomedov on what he wants next
“My goal is to fight in Paris at the end of September. Paris is my neighbor – from Germany for me, three hours. My (UFC) debut was in Paris. I got (a performance bonus) there. A lot of my fans, my friends and family can be there. I hope the UFC will give me some fight there. I will be happy if I get a fight in Paris. For me, it doesn’t matter who. I’m not some guy who chooses my opponents. I will fight against (anyone). For me, it doesn’t matter. Important is I get someone who I can fight.”
