Absconding Accused in Nashik TCS Case Seeks Bail; SIT Probes Allegations

Officials confirmed that her husband is being questioned by the Nashik police as part of the investigation. The accused is reportedly in the process of approaching a Nashik court to seek anticipatory bail, citing her pregnancy and medical condition.

Two Accused Remanded to Police Custody

In a related development, a local court in Nashik on Thursday remanded two male accused to police custody until Saturday. The duo had previously been sent to judicial custody in connection with the case but were re-arrested on Wednesday and produced before the court the following day. The court granted a two-day police remand to facilitate further interrogation.

Multiple Arrests and Expanding Investigation

Police officials stated that a total of seven employees have been arrested so far in connection with nine FIRs registered in the case. The arrested individuals include six men from the company’s Nashik unit and a woman HR manager.

To ensure a thorough probe, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted to examine complaints filed by eight women employees. The complainants have alleged mental and sexual harassment by senior colleagues, claiming that their grievances were not adequately addressed by the HR department.

Some of the women have also accused certain individuals of attempting to coerce them into religious conversion, along with harassment linked to their religious beliefs.

Company Responds

The company has reiterated its zero-tolerance policy towards harassment and coercion. In a statement, it confirmed that all employees named in the allegations have been suspended. It further stated that an internal inquiry is being conducted by senior leadership to establish the facts and determine accountability.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue efforts to locate the absconding accused and gather further evidence in the case.
