Abraham George, first Indian-American chairperson of Texas GOP, loses re-election. Reactions are shocking

The first Indian-American chairperson of the Republican Party in Texas, Abraham George, lost his re-election to D’rinda Randall. The reactions to his loss, however, were shocking as both MAGA and the Indian-American community cheered for his exit. MAGA celebrated the defeat of an Indian-origin individual, while the Indian-American community said he always looked the other way whenever Indians in Texas faced racism.

"While this race has come to an end, our mission continues. Now is the time to come together, unite behind our Republican nominees, support the entire Republican ticket in November, advance our legislative priorities in the next session, and continue standing firmly for the conservative principles outlined in our platform," Abraham George posted on X as he conceded the defeat. "I am grateful to everyone who supported our campaign, and I remain committed to serving our party and fighting for the values that make Texas strong."
