Prepared Hero is recalling about 31,000 Hero Fire Spray canisters because the pressurized cans can deteriorate over time, rupture, and fail to work during a fire. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall on Sept. 10.
The company has received nine reports of canisters exploding or deteriorating while in storage. No injuries have been reported. Only canisters marked with the date code 09/2024 on the base are included.
