Bologna have announced that Aberdeen star Lewis Ferguson has completed a £3m move to Serie A.
The 22-year-old's move to Italy will earn Hamilton Accies a sizeable wad of cash due to a sell-on clause written into his move to Pittodrie in 2018, having come through the youth set-up at New Douglas Park.
It's believed that Ferguson, from Quarter, was sold on a move to Bologna by Aaron Hickey, who spent two years at the club before moving to Premier League side Brentford in an £18m deal on Friday.
Ferguson's move to Aberdeen went to a tribunal, in which Accies earned only £250,000, but he was a success at Pittodrie, scoring 37 goals in 168 appearances.
