Jack MacKenzie is set to be called up to the Scotland squad.
Steve Clarke will draft the left-back into the national team set-up to replace injured Celtic defender Greg Taylor.
The 24-year-old will join up with the rest of the A squad for the Nations League games against Croatia and Portugal, says the Daily Record.
The defender has played a pivotal role in Aberdeen's immense 13-game winning streak so far this season.
Jimmy Thelin's side have won all of their games so far in the 2024/25 season, and currently sit level on points with Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.
Something will need to give though, as the sides will meet after the international break.
MacKenzie - who has never played for Scotland at any level before - will join up with his club teammate Nicky Devlin in the Scotland squad.
He's not the only player due to be called into the national team squad this week.
Robby McCrorie of Kilmarnock will re-join the set-up having had to pull out of the last squad through injury.
The goalkeeper will replace Scotland and Norwich No.1 Angus Gunn, who picked up an injury at the weekend.
