Aberdeen have appointed former English FA man Adrian Bevington as their new chief executive, replacing Alan Burrows.
Burrows' shock departure for family reasons was only announced yesterday and the Pittodrie side have move swiftly to fill the vacancy.
Bevington worked for the FA for 17 years, serving as managing director of England national teams (Club England) and group communications director.
He also had two spells at Middlesbrough, as well as roles at Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa and the Welsh FA.
Aberdeen chairman Dave Cormack said: "I've known Adrian for many years, and he has always impressed me with his calm and clear thinking about the game, as well as his ability to handle a high-profile role as a chief executive in professional football.
